Manufacturing Floor Lead

As a Manufacturing Floor Lead, you will drive operational excellence by overseeing production workflows and fostering a high-performance culture. You will be instrumental in optimizing team output, ensuring quality standards are met, and empowering staff to achieve consistent manufacturing success.

• Lead daily production activities to maximize resource utilization, equipment efficiency, and material throughput.
• Cultivate an engaged workforce by providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development support.
• Maintain the integrity of operational data and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions to address production gaps.
• Conduct regular lean process audits to ensure adherence to established standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Facilitate clear communication across all levels to ensure roles, expectations, and safety protocols are understood.
• Oversee talent management, including interviewing, hiring, and resolving personnel issues in alignment with company policy.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate production methods and suggest improvements to reduce scrap and enhance productivity.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of recent supervisory experience in a wood, metal, or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership qualities with a proven ability to motivate teams and work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on diplomacy and integrity.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills

• College degree in a related field.
• Prior experience with HR and financial management concepts.
• Familiarity with workforce management software such as Paycom or Workday.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing tools and methodology.
