Warehouse Lead Forklift

CORE DUTIES:

• Oversee utility material inventory by performing regular cycle counts, organizing stock, and managing staging areas.
• Utilize heavy-duty JLG machinery to maneuver utility supplies weighing as much as 12,000 pounds.
• Maintain outdoor inventory areas by sorting materials, reporting any damage, and performing routine counts to ensure accuracy.
• Handle the loading and unloading of freight from trailers and transport vehicles.
• Operate company trucks to move supplies between local facilities without the need for overnight stays.
• Collaborate effectively with internal team members and external vendors to achieve project goals.
• Act as a designated yard spotter to help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Current, valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Strong verbal communication skills to assist in spotting duties and executing daily assignments.
• Proven background in warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery in outdoor construction or storage yard environments.
• Prior operation of specialized equipment such as telehandlers, all-terrain forklifts, and cranes is highly desirable.
• Maintain a professional demeanor by being punctual, safety-conscious, motivated, and a collaborative team member.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform repetitive lifting and transport of items weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Requirement to stand, bend, and lift consistently during your shift.
• Capability to perform tasks in both indoor and outdoor settings across various climates.
• Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions, including high heat or inclement weather.
• Ability to safely maneuver long or irregularly shaped items using heavy equipment to ensure efficient site operations.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES:

• Background in warehouse logistics.
