About the Role
We're looking for a CNC Mill Programmer to join our machining team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in setting up and programming advanced Mazak machining centers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality components that meet stringent specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming and machine operation will directly contribute to our production goals and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mazak Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) based on job specifications.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol and G-code to achieve desired part geometries and tolerances.
- Conduct tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine calibrations to ensure consistent and accurate machining.
- Perform thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments, verifying conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering to refine machining processes, reduce cycle times, and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Supervise a small team of milling operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in machining or related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in setting up and programming Mazak VMC and HMC machines.
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages, including Mazatrol and G-code.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
