Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery, preferably in plastics and injection mold equipment.
As a key member of our operations team, the Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, and support continuous improvement efforts to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This role requires problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
This position is on a 2-2-3 schedule, alternating weekends will be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and edit Programmable Logic Contolers (PLCs)
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
