What You’ll Do
This is an onsite role based in Tempe, AZ during construction, transitioning to Peoria, AZ for long-term operations. The position includes occasional travel between sites and limited flexibility for remote work. Physical requirements include working in industrial environments, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using appropriate PPE.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with design consultants to define and validate electrical system requirements
- Review drawings, submittals, and oversee construction progress
- Support commissioning activities including testing, validation, and system startup
- Troubleshoot issues during construction and ramp-up phases
- Maintain and manage documentation, manuals, and system handoffs
- Support ongoing operations of power distribution systems (MV/LV), switchgear, transformers, UPS, and emergency power
- Monitor system performance and drive preventive maintenance initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards
- Perform capacity planning, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize system reliability and energy efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of experience in electrical systems design and/or operations (high-tech or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, emergency power systems, and electrical infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with NEC (NFPA 70) and relevant industry standards
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and related tools
- Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting facility design, construction, or commissioning is highly valued
- PE license is a plus
