We are seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support advanced materials testing systems across a growing national client base. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who enjoy troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems, working independently, and traveling extensively.
In this role, you will install, maintain, calibrate, and repair high-precision testing equipment used across industries such as aerospace, medical devices, automotive, and research laboratories. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to customers—providing training, technical guidance, and ensuring optimal system performance.

You will also serve as a trusted advisor to customers—providing training, technical guidance, and ensuring optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of testing equipment
- Troubleshoot electromechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues
- Train end users on equipment operation, software, and testing methods
- Prepare detailed service and calibration reports aligned with quality standards
- Support ongoing customer relationships through responsive service and communication
- Strong troubleshooting experience across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Experience working with or exposure to 3-phase power systems
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Background in materials testing, calibration, automation, or precision equipment is preferred
- Comfortable with extensive travel (up to ~80%), including overnight trips
- Delivering high-quality service that ensures customer satisfaction and system reliability
- Effectively managing a travel-heavy schedule with strong organization and independence
- Acting as both a technical expert and a professional representative in the field
