What You Will Be Doing

What You Will Be Doing
- Provide professional-level legal and administrative support to attorneys within the Legal department
- Draft form contracts and legal documents for attorney review
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and business communications
- Draft clear, professional correspondence — including letters related to appeals and denials
- Track and manage deadlines imposed by legal and regulatory requirements
- Monitor multiple active items (15–30 at a time) and ensure timely follow-up with attorneys and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and organize legal documentation
- Support transactional legal functions and special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Paralegal certificate (or currently in progress)
- 5 years of Paralegal experience
- Strong experience with appeals and/or denials processes
- Exceptional writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
- Proven ability to draft professional, high-quality legal correspondence
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage a high volume of work simultaneously
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to pass a Department of Defense background investigation (7–10 year history)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong typing and general administrative skills (WPM, 10-key, etc.)
- Experience within the healthcare industry
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently
- Professional and confident handling sensitive information
