Network System Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network System Engineer with strong handson expertise in enterprise messaging platforms primarily IBM MQ to provide operational and platform support in a production environment The role involves administering messaging middleware systems troubleshooting distributed systems issues and ensuring high availability stability and performance of messaging services across Linux and Windows platforms This position is part of the Messaging Production Support Team and requires participation in a 247 oncall support model

Key Responsibilities

• Messaging Platform Administration


• Design build configure and administer IBM MQ environments queue managers queues channels security


• Support and maintain IBM Integration Bus IIB integrations and message flows


• Provide operational support for Confluent Kafka platforms


• Support TIBCO EMS and TIBCO Rendezvous RV messaging technologies as required


• Production Support Troubleshooting


• Provide L2L3 production support in a 247 oncall rotation


• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed messagedriven systems


• Perform deep diagnostics using logs metrics and system tools


• Drive incident resolution escalation and root cause analysis RCA


• System OS Support


• Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems in enterprise environments


• Perform routine operational activities validations and health checks


• Ensure adherence to operational runbooks and SOPs


• Stability Performance


• Monitor messaging platforms to ensure high availability reliability and performance


• Identify improvement areas and contribute to platform stability initiatives


• Support platform changes upgrades and operational enhancements


• Collaboration Documentation


• Work closely with application infrastructure and middleware teams during incidents


• Maintain clear operational documentation runbooks and support procedures


• Communicate effectively with stakeholders during production issues

Required Skills Experience

• 5 years of experience in enterprise messaging or middleware support roles


• Strong handson experience with IBM MQ mandatory primary skill


• Experience with IBM Integration Bus IIB


• Confluent Kafka


• TIBCO EMS


• TIBCO Rendezvous RV

Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems

• Experience supporting production environments with 247 oncall rotations


• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems


• Good understanding of incident problem and change management processes


• Strong communication and documentation skills
