Senior Windows Platform Engineer
Location: Central/North Jersey (Hybrid)
We're partnering with an enterprise organization seeking a hands-on Windows Platform Engineer to help modernize and support a large-scale Microsoft infrastructure environment. This is a true engineering role—not a help desk, desktop support, or systems administration position.
If you enjoy building standards, automating manual processes, and improving enterprise infrastructure, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Engineer and support enterprise Windows Server environments across on-premises and Azure infrastructure
- Design and maintain Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core Microsoft services
- Develop PowerShell automation to streamline deployments, configuration management, and operational tasks
- Support VMware infrastructure and help drive hybrid cloud initiatives
- Partner with infrastructure, security, networking, and cloud teams on platform improvements and modernization projects
- Improve platform reliability, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and operational standards
- Serve as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
What We're Looking For
- 7 years of enterprise Windows infrastructure or platform engineering experience
- Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and VMware experience
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Experience supporting enterprise environments at scale
- Azure infrastructure experience, particularly within hybrid environments
- Experience with Veeam backup solutions is highly preferred
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus
Why This Role?
- True engineering position with a focus on automation and modernization
- Large enterprise environment supporting thousands of systems
- Opportunity to influence platform standards and hybrid cloud strategy
- Collaborative team with exposure to a broad Microsoft technology stack
- Competitive compensation up to $130,000
