Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit monthly AIA billing applications (G702/G703) in accordance with contract terms and project progress.
- Verify accuracy of schedules of values, change orders, retainage, percentage-of-completion, and supporting documentation.
- Track billing deadlines and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely submission and approval.
- Maintain project cost records, including labor, materials, subcontractor invoices, and committed costs.
- Monitor project budgets and forecasts; identify variances and provide insights to project leadership.
- Process subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with contracts, lien waivers, and insurance requirements.
- Support month-end close activities, including revenue recognition, accruals, and job cost adjustments.
- Review contract terms to ensure compliance with billing, documentation, retention, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with change order tracking, documentation, and financial impact analysis.
- Maintain accurate and organized project files and financial documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and the finance department to support project delivery.
- Respond to billing inquiries and assist with audits, reconciliations, and financial analysis as needed.
- Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding billing, payments, and project financials.
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or related finance role preferred
- Experience with AIA billing is required.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, lien waivers, and progress billing practices.
- Proficiency with accounting or project management software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, Procore, QuickBooks, CMiC).
- Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict billing deadlines.
