- The Behavioral Tech II - Shift 3 at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing direct care and support to clients with behavioral and mental health challenges during the designated shift. The role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to clients in accordance with their individualized treatment plans.
- Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities and programs.
- Monitor and document client behaviors, progress, and any incidents, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to review and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment by adhering to safety protocols and de-escalation techniques.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities.
- Support clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and skill-building.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Uphold the values and mission of LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER in all interactions and responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues.
- Previous experience in a clinical or residential environment is advantageous.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
- Proficient in documenting client interactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Knowledge of basic therapeutic techniques and ability to apply them in practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with shift work and flexibility to work various hours, including nights and weekends.
