What are the responsibilities and job description for the MA Emergency Evaluator - CRS position at Lifestream Behavioral Center?
- The MA/MS Emergency Evaluator primarily provides assessments and intervention services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and/or seeking substance abuse detoxification services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments for individuals in crisis, utilizing standardized tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families about available resources and support systems to facilitate recovery and stability.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in emergency mental health evaluation and intervention.
- Master’s degree in human services or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ behavioral healthcare experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills to determine the immediate needs of individuals in crisis.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and make quick, informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing crisis intervention plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to emergency mental health services.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting client interactions and interventions.
