- The Behavioral Tech II (Part-time) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing support and assistance to clients with behavioral health needs. This role involves implementing therapeutic activities, monitoring client progress, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment to promote client well-being and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans by engaging clients in therapeutic activities and interventions.
- Monitor and document client behaviors, progress, and any significant changes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to clinical staff.
- Support clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-care skills.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by following established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health practices.
- Respond to crisis situations appropriately and effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions and documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- CNA preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of One (1) years’ experience in substance abuse and mental health setting is required
- Desirable to have experience working with psychiatric or co-occurring consumers of all ages.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and electronic health record systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, with a focus on promoting recovery and wellness.
