An established Florida law firm is seeking an experienced Word Processor with a strong technical background and proven experience in law firm environments. The ideal candidate is a true word processing professional who thrives on precision, speed, and mastery of advanced document tools.

Locations

• Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa, or West Palm Beach

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit, and finalize complex legal and business documents using advanced word processing software
• Apply sophisticated formatting techniques, including tables, templates, automated systems, and document styles
• Utilize document comparison tools and manage version control (e.g., Litera/Workshare Compare)
• Create and maintain templates, forms, charts, exhibits, and visual aids
• Perform redline comparisons and manage track changes for document revisions
• Troubleshoot document issues, repair corrupted files, and provide technical support to end users
• Convert documents across platforms while maintaining consistent formatting
• Stay current with emerging legal technology and AI-assisted tools to enhance efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of word processing experience in a law firm (large firm experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with document management systems and legal technology tools (e.g., iManage, LegalBar, Best Authority, pdfDocs, DocuSign)
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and formatting standards
• Ability to type at least 50 WPM accurately
• Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and proofreading skills
• Comfortable adapting to new technology and software
