Supply Chain Manager – Manufacturing Operations

We are seeking a strategic, results‑driven Supply Chain Manager to lead production planning and logistics across a flexible packaging manufacturing operation in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for aligning planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics to support plant operations and deliver exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do
- Lead production planning, scheduling, and inventory control to align customer demand with plant capacity
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize supplier performance, reduce lead times, and manage procurement costs
- Oversee raw materials, manufacturing supplies, and finished goods inventory in accordance with service and quality standards
- Direct product development and new item launches, ensuring customer requirements for graphics, specifications, and timelines are met
- Manage logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution partners to ensure efficient order fulfillment
- Lead and support the Customer Service team, driving continuous improvement in order management and quality alert processes
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, service, and quality using business intelligence tools
- Partner cross‑functionally with Finance, Commercial, IT, Production, and Maintenance to support operational excellence and business objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, food safety, and regulatory standards, actively participating in audits and GMP practices
- Build, coach, and develop high‑performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Business
- Extensive manufacturing leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years in manufacturing, customer service, or logistics
- 10 years of manufacturing management experience may substitute for formal education
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, mentor employees, and manage complex operations with minimal supervision
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience working with Windows‑based ERP systems
- Ability to manage budgets, inventories, and enterprise systems effectively
