You'll support a growing Mid-Atlantic region, recruiting for highly skilled engineering and technical professionals while serving as the primary Talent Acquisition partner for the Arlington office. We're looking for someone who will proactively build pipelines, engage passive talent, and influence hiring decisions through strategic partnership.
What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for engineering, environmental, scientific, and corporate positions across multiple offices.
- Partner closely with hiring managers, HR, and senior leadership to develop recruiting strategies and deliver exceptional hiring outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Recruit for positions including Civil Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Environmental Engineers, Geologists, Scientists, Survey professionals, and other technical roles.
- Conduct candidate screening and video interviews while delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
- Prioritize a requisition workload of approximately 20-30 openings, adjusting strategy based on business needs.
- Provide regular communication and market insights to hiring managers while managing expectations throughout the hiring process.
- Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot (or similar technologies) to improve sourcing, research, and recruiting efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR business partners and leadership to support organizational growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience.
- Experience recruiting within engineering, AEC, consulting, professional services, or other technical industries strongly preferred.
- A combination of agency and corporate recruiting experience is highly desirable.
- Proven success sourcing passive candidates rather than relying solely on job postings.
- Strong consultative approach with the ability to influence hiring managers and build trusted relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting senior leaders and executive-level stakeholders.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and Applicant Tracking Systems (SuccessFactors or Greenhouse experience is a plus).
- Comfortable learning new technologies and incorporating AI into recruiting workflows.
Why This Opportunity?
- High-visibility role supporting senior leadership.
- Opportunity to become the Talent Acquisition partner for a growing office.
- Collaborative and supportive recruiting team with strong leadership.
- Hybrid work schedule with flexibility.
- Exposure to exciting engineering and infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term career potential for the right individual.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal recruiter is proactive, strategic, and relationship-driven. You know how to uncover talent others can't find, understand how technical professionals think, and enjoy partnering with hiring managers to solve complex hiring challenges. You're comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining excellent communication and delivering an exceptional experience for both candidates and business leaders.
If you're looking for a recruiting role where your sourcing expertise, consultative approach, and relationship-building skills will make a visible impact, we'd love to hear from you.
