Senior Planner | Supply Chain & Product Lifecycle Planning

LHH is partnering with a growing industrial manufacturing organization in the Anoka area to hire a Senior Planner. This is a newly created role focused on product lifecycle planning, inventory strategy, and cross-functional project coordination. This position will play a key role in supporting new product introductions, product phase-outs, and ensuring the right inventory is available at the right time throughout the product lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional who enjoys collaborating with engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and leadership teams while driving planning initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning activities related to new product introductions (NPI) and product end-of-life transitions.
- Develop strategies to balance inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent shortages.
- Coordinate with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches and transitions.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure planning activities remain on schedule.
- Analyze inventory, demand, and supply chain data to support business decisions.
- Generate reports and provide insights to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) initiatives and inventory optimization efforts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased operational efficiency.
- Build strong working relationships across departments and act as a key supply chain partner throughout the organization.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage planning activities and drive data-based decision making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) required.
- 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, materials planning, inventory management, or related functions.
- Industrial manufacturing experience required.
- Strong background in production planning and understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Experience supporting product lifecycle management, new product introductions, and inventory planning.
- ERP experience required, preferably SAP or Oracle.
- Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
