LHH is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Marketing & Business Development position for one of our clients in the legal services sector. This role will partner with practice and industry leaders in driving strategic growth initiatives, strengthening client relationships, and elevating market presence.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys serving as a trusted advisor, translating market intelligence into action, and leading sophisticated business development and marketing programs that generate measurable results.
Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL
Compensation: $142K-$200K (based on experience)

Role Requirements:
- 10 years of marketing, business development, or strategy experience within a law firm or professional services environment
- Corporate, transactional, or related legal practice experience
- CRM and marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce and Foundation
- Experience supporting sophisticated professional services organizations
- Proven success partnering with executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Strong strategic planning, project management, and revenue-growth experience
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to interpret market trends, client insights, and competitive intelligence to shape strategy
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and teams
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
What You'll Do
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior practice and industry leaders, helping identify growth opportunities and market positioning strategies.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing and business development plans aligned with revenue objectives.
- Lead high-impact campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, client engagement programs, and strategic pursuits.
- Leverage market research, competitive intelligence, client feedback, and data analytics to inform decision-making.
- Identify and cultivate cross-practice opportunities that drive business growth and deepen client relationships.
- Guide responses to pitches, proposals, RFIs, and RFPs for key business opportunities.
- Measure campaign performance, evaluate ROI, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
