We are looking for a senior accountant professional for an onsite role in Walnut Creek, CA. Key Responsibilities

• Perform and review month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations for cash, accruals, allocations, and prepayments.
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Manage expense allocations across departments and ensure proper coding.
• Oversee prepaid expense accounting, including amortization schedules.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and implement best practices.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, reconciliations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including strong GL and month-end close exposure.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Strong understanding of cash accounting, expense accruals, and prepayment processes.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
