About the Company
We are seeking a qualified and proactive Construction Safety Professional to oversee and promote workplace safety on construction projects. This role is responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards, conducting site inspections, and fostering a strong culture of safety among employees, subcontractors, and project teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in construction safety regulations, and capable of building positive working relationships while maintaining strict safety standards in fast-paced construction environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and programs.
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local safety requirements, and company policies.
- Lead safety orientations and ongoing training for employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
- Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Participate in pre-construction planning and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) development.
- Maintain required safety documentation, permits, logs, and records.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to proactively address safety concerns.
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
- Recommend improvements to safety policies and procedures based on field observations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and regulations.
- Experience conducting safety inspections and incident investigations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
Preferred Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
- OSHA 30-hour or OSHA 500 certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- CHST, CSP, ASP, or similar professional certification.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, civil, or multi-site construction projects.
