Resident Services Coordinator (SRO & Families) – San Francisco, CA


LHH is teaming up with a mission‑driven nonprofit organization in the affordable housing and community services space in San Francisco, CA, in search of Resident Services Coordinators to support residents in single‑room occupancy (SRO) housing and family housing communities.


This organization is deeply invested in housing stability, resident well‑being, and access to critical resources. These roles play a meaningful part in supporting residents as they maintain housing, build independence, and strengthen community connections. You’ll partner closely with property management and community agencies while working directly with residents in a highly people‑focused environment.

Role 1: Resident Services Coordinator – Single Room Occupancy (SRO)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and care coordination to adult residents in SRO housing
  • Support housing retention through outreach, assessments, goal‑setting, and service planning
  • Coordinate referrals to health, behavioral health, benefits, employment, and social services
  • Partner with property management on housing stability issues, lease compliance, and conflict resolution
  • Conduct intakes, annual assessments, and ongoing documentation in required systems
  • Facilitate wellness checks, crisis intervention, and de‑escalation when needed
  • Plan and support onsite programs, workshops, and community‑building activities
  • Maintain accurate case files, reports, and grant‑related documentation


Role 2: Resident Services Coordinator – Families

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver resident services and case management to families living in affordable housing
  • Assess resident needs and develop individualized service plans focused on housing stability
  • Connect families to childcare, education, employment, health, legal, and financial resources
  • Support residents with annual recertifications, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate onsite programs, family‑focused workshops, and community events
  • Provide crisis intervention, mandated reporting, and follow‑up support as required
  • Collaborate with community partners, service providers, and internal teams
  • Complete required reporting, resident files, calendars, and program documentation


Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least 3 years of equivalent experience in community services or social services
  • Experience working with low‑income or formerly unhoused populations
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Experience with case management, service coordination, or resident engagement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic case management systems
  • Ability to work on‑site in San Francisco, CA
  • Bilingual skills strongly preferred (especially Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Russian)


Job Type: Contract (open to direct hire only candidates for Families role)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Fully on‑site, San Francisco, CA

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday

Pay Rate: $29.00–$32.00/hour, depending on experience

Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
