Our client is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to join a growing technology infrastructure team responsible for supporting, securing, and modernizing a complex enterprise environment. What You'll Be Doing

Enterprise Network Operations

• Support and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure across multiple locations
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot routing and switching environments
• Ensure reliable connectivity and network performance across critical business systems
• Monitor network health, availability, and capacity while identifying opportunities for improvement

Cloud Networking & Infrastructure Modernization

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure networking solutions
• Assist with ongoing cloud adoption and hybrid infrastructure initiatives
• Support secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud-based environments
• Contribute to enterprise modernization projects focused on scalability, resiliency, and performance

Network Security & Zero Trust

• Administer and support enterprise firewall platforms
• Implement and maintain VPN technologies and secure remote access solutions
• Support Zero Trust networking initiatives and security-focused architecture improvements
• Participate in security hardening efforts, vulnerability remediation, and access control management

Data Center & Platform Transformation

• Support data center modernization initiatives
• Participate in network hardware refreshes, upgrades, and lifecycle projects
• Assist with monitoring platform enhancements and operational visibility improvements
• Maintain network diagrams, documentation, runbooks, and technical standards

Incident Response & Operational Support

• Investigate and resolve network incidents and performance issues
• Perform root cause analysis and develop long-term corrective actions
• Participate in planned maintenance activities and change management processes
• Serve as part of an on-call rotation supporting enterprise operations

Required Background

Core Technical Experience

• 5 years of network engineering or advanced network administration experience
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, subnetting, and network design principles
• Experience supporting enterprise networking environments
• Hands-on routing and switching expertise
• Experience administering firewall technologies in production environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing logs, diagnostics, packet captures, and monitoring tools
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation

Highly Desired Technologies

• Cisco networking infrastructure
• Palo Alto Networks firewalls or comparable next-generation firewall platforms
• Microsoft Azure networking
• VPN technologies and secure remote connectivity
• Network monitoring and performance management solutions
• Security-focused infrastructure environments
• Zero Trust networking concepts and implementations

Additional Preferred Experience

• Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus environments
• Azure networking and hybrid connectivity
• Dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
• Data center infrastructure environments
• Cloud networking and infrastructure migration projects
• Enterprise security initiatives and compliance-driven environments
