What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandise Manager position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions in Chicago is working with one of our repeat clients in Buffalo Grove who are looking to hire a Web Merchandising Manager to join their internal marketing team.
This role sits at the intersection of site merchandising, promotions, analytics, and cross‑functional leadership — with real ownership over how customers discover, evaluate, and convert.

What you’ll do:
- Partner with SEO, marketing, and ecommerce teams to optimize site structure, PDP content, and taxonomy
- Lead digital merchandising strategy to improve browse, search, and conversion
- Own promotions planning and performance, including vendor exclusives and reporting
- Analyze site, search, and campaign performance; turn insights into action
- Manage your own projects and collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners
What we’re looking for:
- 5 years in ecommerce or digital merchandising
- Strong experience with site taxonomy, CRO, and ecommerce platforms (Adobe preferred)
- Comfort owning KPIs like revenue, conversion, AOV, and margins
- Customer‑first mindset with a strong analytical and execution bias
