What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with our valued law firm client Grosse Pointe, Michigan, seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its insurance defense practice. This full-time position is well suited for a highly organized professional with strong litigation experience and the ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Obtain, organize, and manage client documents and electronic case files
- Review, analyze, and prepare summaries of medical records, discovery materials, and other case-related documents
- Draft correspondence and litigation documents for attorney review
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and related proceedings
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, subpoenas, and evidentiary materials
- Attend and assist with witness preparation meetings and provide trial support as required
- Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff and assist others as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years as an insurance defense litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment
- Proficiency with legal technology and standard office software
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and respond promptly to attorney and client needs
The anticipated Salary range for this position is between $60,000–$70,000.
