Position Summary
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an organization in Kansas City, MO, and assisting them search for a new Human Resources Business Partner to join their team. We are seeking a strategic and highly consultative Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders and business groups within a fast-paced professional services environment. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executives and people leaders, providing white-glove HR partnership focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, leadership coaching, workforce planning, change management, and organizational design. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with exceptional relationship-building skills and a client-service mindset. This individual will deliver proactive, high-touch support to business leaders while helping drive people strategies that align with organizational objectives and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to executive and senior leadership teams across assigned business groups.
- Develop deep understanding of business priorities, financial goals, client needs, and workforce challenges.
- Partner with leaders to align talent strategies with business objectives and long-term organizational plans.
- Provide consultative guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, team effectiveness, and organizational performance.
Talent Management & Leadership Development
- Lead talent review processes, succession planning initiatives, and leadership development strategies.
- Coach executives and people leaders on performance management, employee development, engagement, and retention.
- Identify high-potential talent and partner with leaders to create development plans that build organizational capability.
- Support a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and growth.
Organizational Design & Effectiveness
- Partner with leadership teams to design and optimize organizational structures that support evolving business needs.
- Assess team effectiveness, span of control, role clarity, and workforce capabilities.
- Recommend solutions that improve organizational performance, productivity, and employee experience.
Change Management
- Lead and support complex organizational change initiatives, including restructures, growth initiatives, acquisitions, and business transformation efforts.
- Develop change management strategies, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement approaches.
- Coach leaders through periods of organizational change while maintaining employee engagement and business continuity.
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, performance concerns, and workplace issues.
- Conduct investigations and recommend practical, business-focused solutions when needed.
- Balance employee advocacy with organizational objectives and risk mitigation.
White-Glove Client Service
- Deliver a high-touch, responsive HR partnership experience to leaders and employees.
- Build trusted relationships through credibility, professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional communication.
- Anticipate business needs and proactively deliver solutions before challenges arise.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency while providing thoughtful and strategic guidance.
Data & Strategic Insights
- Leverage workforce data and analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide recommendations related to retention, engagement, turnover, talent movement, and organizational health.
- Measure effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 7 years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR Business Partner experience.
- Experience supporting executive leaders within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated success in talent management, leadership coaching, organizational design, and change management.
- Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed or hybrid workforces.
