The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to leaders, supporting organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and performance management across non-union employee populations. This role leads employee relations efforts, supports change initiatives, and drives continuous improvement of HR systems and processes. The position also contributes to advancing talent development and organizational effectiveness practices.
Key Responsibilities
Non-Union Workforce Planning & Recruiting
- Lead all non-union hiring efforts, including exempt and professional roles, from sourcing through selection
- Partner with leaders to identify hiring needs and develop workforce plans for non-union teams
- Oversee the company internship program, including recruitment, onboarding, and overall program coordination
HR Systems, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee HR systems, ensure data accuracy, and drive process improvements
- Lead workforce reporting, analytics, and compliance activities, including EEO reporting
- Manage HR communications and respond to employee inquiries related to policies, programs, and processes
Benefits Administration
- Oversee company-wide benefits programs, including health, retirement, and related offerings
- Manage open enrollment activities and employee benefit communications
- Ensure compliance with all benefits-related laws and regulations
Talent Assessment & Development
- Lead talent assessment activities and support organizational talent review processes
- Partner with leaders to implement talent development and capability-building initiatives
Employee Relations & Performance Management (Non-Union)
- Lead employee relations matters for non-union employees, including investigations and performance-related issues
- Coach leaders on performance management, accountability, feedback, and employee development
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- 5–7 years of progressive human resources experience
- Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and leadership coaching
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive business-focused outcomes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
