Fraud Specialist
Location: Onsite – Tigard, Oregon
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $20–$24 per hour DOE
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Job Summary
LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Fraud Operations Specialist to support daily operations with a strong focus on researching and auditing wire fraud activity, while also providing high-quality customer service. This role is ideal for someone with a background in banking or financial services who is analytical, organized, and comfortable communicating with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, investigate, and audit wire transactions to identify potential fraud or irregular activity
- Review documentation, transaction records, and system data to support fraud prevention efforts
- Accurately document findings and maintain detailed audit trails
- Communicate with customers regarding transaction inquiries, discrepancies, or required follow-up
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and escalate concerns as needed
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, banking regulations, and fraud prevention standards
- Perform general operational and administrative support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in banking, financial services, or a related operations role
- Experience with wires, transactions, or fraud research is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data effectively
- Clear and professional communication skills with a customer-service mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial or banking systems
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; furthering education is a plus
