Position Overview
The Divisional Controller will serve as a strategic financial leader for the division, overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and compliance. This role is critical in driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting operational decision-making for a publicly traded manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
- Lead the division’s accounting and FP&A functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Month-End Close & Reporting:
- Oversee and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Oversee annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
- Provide actionable insights and variance analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Operational Support:
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to optimize cost structures and improve profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate governance standards.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in accounting and FP&A.
- Prior experience in a publicly traded company and manufacturing environment is required.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Expertise in month-end close and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
