LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking to fill a Staff Accountant role for a well‑established organization based in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting and experience supporting month‑end financial processes, coupled with excellent analytical and organizational abilities, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Our client offers a collaborative and employee-oriented environment. Position is bonus eligible based on company performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Participate in month‑end and quarter‑end close activities across various accounting areas
- Assist with cash‑related activities such as tracking daily transactions and supporting monthly reconciliation processes.
- Support compliance reporting tied to the company’s credit and lending requirements.
- Contribute to fixed‑asset oversight by coordinating procurement documentation, maintaining project cost data, and assisting with depreciation and asset‑related reporting.
- Review, process, and maintain travel and expense‑related documentation in line with internal policy.
- Prepare and file periodic tax‑related documents and unclaimed property reporting.
- Assist with internal control procedures and ongoing SOX compliance requirements.
- Provide essential support during internal and external audits.
- Take part in special projects and cross‑departmental initiatives as needed.
Qualifications desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems and interpret financial information.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in work output.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
