What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Estimator position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with a respected client seeking a Senior HVAC Estimator to support residential new-construction projects. This fully remote position will serve as a senior technical resource while supporting internal team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates for residential HVAC projects, including large plans, multi-system homes, and customized configurations
- Review plans, specifications, and system designs to identify cost efficiencies, scope concerns, and installation risks
- Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs while applying established pricing and margin requirements
- Review estimates for accuracy and provide technical guidance to less-experienced team members
- Collaborate with operations, field leadership, sales, vendors, and subcontractors to validate costs and installation assumptions
- Support improvements to estimating tools, pricing data, workflows, training resources, and quality-control processes
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of residential HVAC estimating experience
- Ability to interpret complex construction plans and develop accurate duct designs, takeoffs, and estimates
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and communicate effectively across estimating, field, operations, and sales
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently in a fully remote environment
Location: Florida – Remote
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
