LHH Recruitment is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for an established and innovative electronics company with a global presence to join their legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded attorney to work closely with leaders across the organization and have a meaningful impact on the company’s continued growth.
This role offers exceptional variety and visibility, with responsibility for sophisticated commercial transactions as well as corporate, intellectual property, employment, regulatory, M&A, and other business matters.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, master agreements, development agreements, licensing, supply, distribution, reseller, sales representative, service, and consulting agreements.
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders and cross-functional teams, providing practical guidance that supports business objectives while appropriately managing risk.
- Advise on matters involving trade regulations, employment, intellectual property, and other legal issues affecting the business.
- Partner with R&D and Marketing teams on intellectual property matters, including management of the existing portfolio and new patent and trademark applications.
- Manage and collaborate with outside counsel on litigation, investigations, IP, and other specialized matters.
- Support the company’s parent and worldwide affiliates on corporate and commercial matters.
- Assist with corporate governance, M&A transactions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to the continued development of legal operations, processes, and efficiencies.
- Work closely with the General Counsel and take on high-impact legal projects across the organization.
Requirements:
- J.D. and admission to a U.S. state bar; Oregon admission or eligibility for Oregon House Counsel admission preferred.
- 5 years of legal experience, with meaningful in-house experience strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial contracting experience across a variety of agreements and business relationships.
- Excellent judgment, communication skills, and business acumen.
- A practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal issues and negotiations.
- Ability to understand commercial objectives, prioritize risk, and provide advice that helps the business move forward.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with executives and business partners.
- Experience with legal operations technology is a plus.
- Experience with public or private bid responses is also a plus.
Base salary: $175,000 to $200,000

Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
