We are working with a growing company in need of a hands-on, strategic CFO to lead financial strategy, accounting, and cost controls. Candidates should have manufacturing experience, partner effectively with plant leaders, drive margin improvement, manage complex inventory, and support sustainable growth. The CFO will advise ownership on key financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning, aligning with production demand.
- Produce weekly, monthly & annual reporting packages for ownership review.
- Track and interpret key manufacturing KPIs (OEE, scrap, yield, inventory turns, delivery performance).
- Accounting & Internal Controls
- Oversee all accounting functions, including AP/AR, GL, and inventory accounting.
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting (GAAP compliant) and strong internal controls.
- Oversee tax strategy and compliance.
- Cash Management & Capital Strategy
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, liquidity, and debt covenant compliance.
- Evaluate capital investments in machinery, tooling, automation, and capacity.
- Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the ownership on strategic growth initiatives, M&A, and value creation.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 5-10 years of progressive finance leadership, with significant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in standard costing, ERP systems, and advanced inventory management.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading through stable, mature operations and driving operational efficiency.
- Competencies: Strong analytical skills, results-oriented, high ethical standards, and ability to communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
