What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at LHH?
An established construction company is looking for a Bookkeeper who knows the trades — someone who understands job costing, can navigate AIA billing without hand-holding, and keeps the back office running cleanly while the field stays focused on building.
This is a full-cycle role with real variety. If you've done bookkeeping in construction before, you'll recognize the rhythm immediately. If you're sharp, organized, and ready to own the numbers for a growing contractor, let's talk.
What You'll Own
- Manage full-cycle AP and AR, including subcontractor and vendor payments
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Prepare and submit lien waivers and AIA billing documents
- Maintain job cost records and track budgets against actuals by project
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis
- Prepare monthly financial reports for ownership
- Support month-end close activities
What You'll Bring
- 2 years of bookkeeping experience in construction or a related trade industry
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Familiarity with job costing and construction billing practices (AIA, lien waivers)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
If you enjoy variety in your work, want to work for a company that recognizes hard work, and play a key role in future growth, apply now!
