Assistant CFO / Financial Controller

I’m currently working on a high-visibility Assistant CFO / Financial Controller opportunity with a well-established office based in South Florida.
This is a unique opportunity for a strong Controller ready to step into a broader leadership role with clear runway to CFO in the near term.
Role Overview
This position sits directly under the CFO and supports ownership across a multi-entity portfolio spanning real estate, hospitality, and investments.
The role is both strategic and hands-on, overseeing accounting operations while helping bring structure, visibility, and scalability across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple entities
• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, and consolidations
• Maintain accuracy across accruals, depreciation, and intercompany activity
• Partner directly with CFO and ownership on financial insights and decision-making
• Help organize and streamline accounting processes across a complex portfolio
• Support real estate accounting, cash flow oversight, and asset-level performance
What They’re Looking For
• Strong full-cycle GL accounting experience (must-have)
• Real estate accounting experience required
• Ability to operate at a high level while staying hands-on
• Comfortable working directly with ownership in a highly visible role
• Fully bilingual (English / Spanish) required
Nice to Have
• Exposure to hospitality, restaurants, or mixed-use portfolios
• Experience in entrepreneurial or owner-led environments
Compensation & Setup
• Base salary: Up to $135K base room for growth
