Salary $135k - $140k plus bonus target 20%

Position Summary
The Corporate Development Analyst will play a key role in supporting the company's acquisition strategy and portfolio management initiatives. This individual will be involved in both pre- and post-acquisition activities, with a primary focus on evaluating, acquiring, and optimizing a portfolio of inventory-based businesses.
The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, experience performing due diligence, and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and senior leadership teams throughout the acquisition process.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisition & Transaction Support
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities and support the execution of strategic growth initiatives.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and investment return assessments.
- Perform industry, competitor, and market research to identify potential acquisition targets.
- Participate in due diligence efforts, including financial, operational, and commercial reviews.
- Analyze historical financial performance, working capital trends, profitability drivers, and inventory metrics.
- Prepare presentation materials and investment recommendations for senior leadership.
- Portfolio Management & Integration
- Assist with post-acquisition integration activities and performance tracking.
- Monitor acquired businesses against financial and operational objectives.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency across the portfolio.
- Partner with finance and operating teams to track key performance indicators and synergy realization.
- Develop reporting packages and analytical tools to support executive decision-making.
- Strategic Analysis
- Perform detailed financial analysis related to inventory management, working capital, and operational performance.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within portfolio companies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
- Assist with special projects, business reviews, and strategic growth initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum (required) of 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Advisory, Strategic Finance, or a related field.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and integration activities.
Understanding of inventory-based business models, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, or consumer products environments, is highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
