LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a hands-on Accounts Receivable / Cash Application Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, small business environment for a family owned engineering firm. This role will also involve collections, requiring professionalism and tact when dealing with high-value clients. You’ll report directly to the Accounts Payable & Payroll Manager and work closely with operations and administrative staff.
Location: Paramus, NJ (On-site, 5 days/week – some flexibility possible later)
Salary: $65K-$70K dependent on experience

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Cash Application process
- Perform journal entries and reconciliations to support month-end close
- Handle collections with sensitivity and professionalism
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams to take corrective measures when needed
- Support audit documentation and financial compliance
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to process improvements
- Preferred: NetSuite
- Plus: Solid Excel skills
- Strong background in Accounts Receivable and Cash Application
- Comfortable working in a family-run, small company environment
- Proactive, resourceful, and willing to “dig in” to solve problems
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
- No degree required – solid A/R experience is what counts
- Able to manage processes independently (no direct reports)
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
