Accounts Payable Specialist
LHH is assisting with a search for an AP Specialist for a 3-6 month project with a client in Overland Park, KS. This position will work on-site with pay starting at $25/hour and going up based on experience. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Print and sort incoming invoices and payment-related emails for manual processing.
- Match printed invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Manually enter invoice data into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy.
- Print checks and prepare physical check runs for mailing.
- File all printed invoices, check copies, and supporting documents in designated filing cabinets.
- Maintain and organize physical files for audit readiness and easy retrieval.
- Respond to vendor inquiries by phone or email and provide copies of printed documents as needed.
- Assist with month-end close by pulling and filing relevant documentation.
- Support the accounting team with other clerical duties such as scanning, copying, and mailing.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- HS Diploma-required! Associates Degree in Accounting-preferred
- A least 3-5 year of accounts payable experience
- Experience with ERP - Oracle Fusion a plus!
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- Excel skills – above average – formulas, pivot tables
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent self-management as well as project management skills
- Great attention to detail and superior organizational skills
