Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Location: Kansas City, MO (Onsite)
Job Summary:
LHH is working with an established organization that is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting operations in a high-volume environment. This role will primarily focus on accounts payable processing while assisting with accounts receivable functions, including cash posting and payment application. This is a contract opportunity with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process accounts payable invoices, including verification of automated entries
- Support high-volume invoice processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including cash posting and payment application
- Collaborate with a team of accounting professionals to support daily operations
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits
- Experience working in a high-volume processing environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support shared workloads
- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems preferred
Additional Details:
- Contract role (approximately 3 months) with potential for extension or permanent hire
- Onsite initially, with potential for hybrid flexibility based on performance
- Flexible start time between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM with a consistent schedule
- Collaborative team environment with exposure to ERP system implementation
- Pay range starting at $24/hour and going up based on experience
