LHH is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a growing Healthcare organization in Nashville, TN! This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting a dynamic, people-first environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and brings a strong understanding of payroll processes—preferably within healthcare or a multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for a multi-entity, multi-state workforce with a high degree of accuracy
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, deductions, and adjustments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings and reporting
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure alignment on employee data, benefits, and compensation changes
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audits
- Support process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a healthcare or high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience with payroll systems and MS Excel required
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
