Accountant
Tualatin, OR | Full-Time | Onsite | $70,000 - $85,000
Our client, a growing organization experiencing increased demand for its services, is adding an Accountant to its accounting team. This position reports directly to the Controller and offers the opportunity to contribute across general ledger accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Perform account analysis, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting
- Perform monthly variance analysis and reporting
- Support SEC reporting activities, including 10-Q and 10-K preparation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal controls
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
- Participate in accounting system enhancements and process improvement projects
- Complete special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of accounting or financial management experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with ERP systems required
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction industry experience
- Experience working in a publicly traded company environment
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
- Experience with large ERP platforms such as SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar
