LHH is looking to hire an Accountant for a Client of theirs in the Pittsburgh Area. The Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions that support the finance department. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely completion of month-end and year-end processes. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and update the general ledger in compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve variances promptly.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain daily cash activity worksheets.
- Support annual audits and tax reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Identify and address discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
