Accountant (Austin, TX) Onsite.
We are seeking a highly driven Accountant to support infrastructure accounting operations for large-scale data center construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, partnering with cross-functional teams to manage complex accounting processes, ensure compliance, and drive operational improvements.
What You Will Do
- Manage end-to-end accounting for multiple data center construction projects, including month-end close, journal entries, accruals (Capex/Opex), and SOX compliance controls
- Own and reconcile balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers, ensuring accuracy across varying levels of complexity
- Review contracts, transactions, and accounting treatments to maintain accurate financial reporting and compliance
- Partner with Infrastructure, FP&A, and cross-functional teams to provide accounting guidance and support business decision-making
- Analyse large datasets to identify process gaps, and independently design and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
- Support system implementations and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure financial systems meet business requirements
- Maintain financial trackers (e.g., non-GAAP schedules, location matrices) and deliver ad hoc financial and technical analysis
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating meetings and ensuring alignment on financial processes
What You Will Bring
- 5 years of experience in financial accounting, auditing, or related fields, with strong expertise in financial statements and balance sheet management
- Experience managing accounting for large-scale projects (e.g., infrastructure, construction, energy, or technology environments)
- Strong understanding of SOX controls, month-end close processes, and internal controls frameworks
- Proven ability to analyse large datasets, identify inefficiencies, and implement scalable process improvements
- Hands-on experience with system implementations and UAT testing
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Oracle Financials, Hyperion, and advanced Excel (SQL is a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
📍 Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
💵 Pay: $45 – $47/hour.
