This individual will play a lead role in developing and delivering employee onboarding programs and training initiatives that support workforce development and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding, Training & Development (Primary Focus)
- Lead and enhance the onboarding experience for all new hires, ensuring a positive and engaging employee experience.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation programs in both English and Spanish.
- Develop, organize, and deliver employee training programs across departments.
- Partner with managers to identify training needs and create development plans for employees.
- Track training compliance, certifications, and required manufacturing-related training.
- Maintain training records and provide reporting on participation and effectiveness.
- Assist with the creation and translation of training materials and employee communications.
- Support full-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Administer new hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, employee records, and HRIS updates.
- Support benefits administration, leave management, and open enrollment activities.
- Assist with performance review processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and organizational initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Prior HR experience within a manufacturing, distribution, production, or industrial environment required.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Strong experience with onboarding, employee training, and workforce development programs.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Experience working with HRIS systems such as ADP, Paycom, UKG, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
- Experience facilitating classroom and hands-on training in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA, workplace safety programs, and manufacturing compliance requirements.
