Job Description:
The Human Resources Generalist oversees the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits and pension administration, compliance and HR documentation. This role ensures HR programs, policies, and practices support organizational goals while maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Administer employee benefits, pension, and retirement programs.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, employee records, and documentation.
- Support employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Manage employee leave, status changes, and HRIS records.
- Oversee offboarding processes and separation documentation.
- Manage and maintain the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now), ensuring accurate employee records, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR Certification a plus.
- 3–5 years of HR experience managing multiple HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of benefits, employee relations, and employment law.
- Knowledge of NYSED TEACH is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems specifically ADP Workforce NOW, Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Experience administering New York State benefits, including NYSHIP and the New York State pension program (NYSLRS) is a plus.
Salary : $35,074 - $43,827
