LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an experienced Plant Manager to lead daily operations, production scheduling, and quality control. This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide a team of shop personnel while managing budgets and maintaining equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience along with deep technical knowledge of metal fabrication techniques. This direct hire role is in Glendale Heights, IL and the anticipated salary is between $100,000-$125,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations, production scheduling, and workflow to ensure efficient delivery of fabricated products
· Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
· Manage inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies
· Inspect equipment and facilities to identify and resolve potential problems, and ensure preventative maintenance
· Review blueprints and technical specs to ensure accuracy
· Drive continuous improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity
· Assist with managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and board-level performance reporting
· Ensure adherence to all safety standards and internal policies and promote a strong safety culture
Qualifications:
· Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
· 5 years of leadership experience in metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, or industrial environment
· Knowledge of plant operations, welding, and material handling
· Working knowledge of ERP Systems and quality control software
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Thorough understanding of metal fabrication techniques, including welding, CNC, forming, and cutting
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operating and maintenance instructions
· Knowledge of AWS procedures a plus
· Strong leadership skills
