Position: Payroll Specialist/HR
Location: Jupiter, Florida
Position Description: We are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist/HR who will be responsible for Payroll functions and assisting with HR related scenarios for our Florida locations which include Love Street, Pelican Club, and Kravis Center. The candidate should have an overall knowledge and understanding of payroll and human resources good practices, compliance protocols and policies. Some travel to locations in West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, and Ft Lauderdale is required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for multiple locations.
Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
Audit and process payroll documents.
Process employee data for new hires, employee changes, and any additional Time & Attendance data as needed.
Works with GMs on recruitment efforts for all locations.
Approve and release time in the time system.
Prepares and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
Maintains vacation and sick time records.
Create reports on demand.
Assists employees in payroll related questions.
Provides training as needed.
Assist with onboarding & offboarding of employees.
Assist Corporate HR/Payroll with projects and tasks as needed.
Assist with benefits, enrollments, maintaining, billing.
Assist and support HR initiatives.
Assist with human resource/payroll departments and legal counsel to provide guidance to employees and advise managers and employees on employee relations issues and situations, including application of the firm’s policies, performance management, compensation, hiring, internal transfers/promotions, organizational structure, and change management.
Stay aware of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable HR practices.
Qualifications:
Human resources: 3 years REQUIRED
ADP WorkForce Now Payroll: 3 years REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years experience Payroll and HR support
Knowledgeable of Payroll /HR practices and programs
Trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team setting as well as individually
Ability to accurately generate reports and data as needed
Toast (POS) and Tiphaus experience is a plus
