Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Great River, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Position Description: We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist responsible for performing payroll functions and supporting the Payroll Manager. The candidate should have an overall knowledge and understanding of payroll and good practices, compliance protocols and policies.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for multiple locations.
Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
Audit and process payroll documents.
Process employee data for new hires, employee changes, and any additional Time & Attendance data as needed.
Approve and release time in the time system.
Prepares and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
Maintains vacation and sick time records.
Create reports on demand.
Assists employees in payroll related questions.
Provides training as needed.
Assist Corporate Payroll with projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Payroll: 3 years REQUIRED
ADP WorkForce Now Payroll: 3 years REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years experience Payroll
Knowledgeable of Payroll practices and programs
Trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team setting as well as individually
Ability to accurately generate reports and data as needed
Toast (POS) and Tiphaus experience is a plus
