A growing national professional services organization is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team in its Miami-Brickell office. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity and an excellent chance for a recent college graduate looking to begin a career in accounting or finance.
Previous law firm experience is not required. The ideal candidate is bright, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and eager to learn. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day accounts receivable functions
- Post and apply client payments accurately
- Maintain and update accounts receivable records
- Review outstanding balances and assist with collection follow-up
- Research payment discrepancies and account issues
- Prepare basic accounts receivable reports and spreadsheets
- Assist with account reconciliations
- Communicate professionally with internal departments regarding invoices and payments
- Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation
- Assist the accounting team with special projects and additional duties as needed
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply
- Previous internship, office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience is helpful, but not required
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new software and processes quickly
- Dependable, motivated, and willing to take initiative
Location: Brickell – Miami, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time, In-Office
Status: Temporary-to-Hire
