Job Summary:
As a Housekeeper/Laundryaide at Legacy Park Health and Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties in resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining rooms, and offices
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect designated areas
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure resident satisfaction
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry including linens, towels, and personal clothing.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Assist with room turnovers and deep cleaning as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents’ personal belongings and privacy.
Qualifications:
- Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening
