Staff Accountant (hybrid/remote)

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent professioanl services organization located in the Minneapolis area needing to add to their Accounting team!

• Pay: $65,000-$75,000
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or applicable standards)
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Maintain documentation for audits and support internal/external audit requests
• Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
  

• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience (public or private)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred (optional depending on company)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
